"TentangQatar award"  Photo Contest

Indonesian version

Theme:  "Enjoying Qatar" 

General Rules:  

1.  Photos should illustrate the life or daily activities Indonesian citizens in Qatar and was taken in Qatar. 
2. There is no limitation to the camera type used by the participants. 
3. Photos should be produced during the year 2009-2010. It can be color or black-and-white digital photographs 
4. The photos must be original (not pirated / work of others) and the entire contents of the photographs is the responsibility of participants. Any form of objection or claim of any third party for the publication of these photos is not responsibility of the organizer. If it is not an original work, participant will be disqualified from the competition. 
5. Photos must be in accordance with the standards and cultural norms prevailing in Qatar and Indonesia. Pornography, sadism and sarcasm photos are not allowed to follow the competition.
6. Digital editing is permitted only for croping, levels, contrast, hue, saturation, and noise reduction, as long as it is not creating distortions / incredible differences to the original photo. 
7. The photos should not be tagged 'signature', 'watermark', 'frame', etc. 
8. Photos have not been published and have not been included in any kind of competitions. 
9. All submitted photos become the property of the organizer and will be displayed on www.tentangqatar.com. 
10. Each participant is only entitled to 1 (one) winner category of the competition. 

 Terms and conditions: 

1.  No registration fee to participate to this competition (it's free!) 
2. Participants must be resident of Qatar (proved by ID or RP). No restriction of citizenship of the participants.
3. Contestants divided into two (2) categories: 
   1. Teenager Category: maximum 17 years old 
   2. Adult Category: more than 17 years old 
4. Participants should submit the photos in the digital files (JPEG / JPG format) with resolution of 800-1200 pixels at the longest side and file size should not be more than 500 KB per photo. The photos should be uploaded to www.tentangqatar.com. 
5. On submission, please include image data: name of photographer, title, location, date and short stories of the photo (maximum 100 words for each photo) on the place that have been provided when uploading 
6. Each participant can submit maximum 3 (three) photos. 
7. Finalists are required to send high-resolution images for printing purposes. 
8. The close family (husband / wife / children) of the committee and the jury and curators are not allowed to join. 
9. The submission deadline is on 31 May 2010 at 8:00 pm. 

Winner Selection: 

1. All photos will be treated equally by the curators.
2. Submitted Images will be displayed in www.tentangqatar.com and will be selected by a team of curator (jury) to determine the ten (10) finalists 
3. 3 (three) photos of ten finalists will be determined by a polling to be held at www.tentangqatar.com. 
4. Any decision of the committee and team of curators (jury) about the photographs that competition is final, binding and inviolable. 
5. If there are changes or things that have not been included here will be informed later. 

Winners and Prizes: 

1. Winners will be announced on May 31, 2010. 
2. Winners will be announced in www.tentangqatar.com or via e-mail address of the winners. Winner must prove that the photo is legitimate photo and sends his full-resolution photos for printing processes. 
3. Prizes: 
   1. Teenager Category 
      1. 1st winner : Notebook + Certificate 
      2. 2nd winner : iPod + Certificate 
   2. Adult Category 
      1. 1st winner : DSLR Camera + Certificate 
      2. 2nd winner : Digital Photoframe + Certificate
